Serves 2
  • 1/2 Tablespoon oil, (optional peanut or vegetable)
  • 1 Teaspoon Pikt and Chopt Garlic paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Pikt and Chopt Ginger paste
  • 250grams Pork mince (optional beef or turkey mince)
  • 1 Tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1/2 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 Teaspoons Lime juice
  • 1/2 Teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 Cup beansprouts trimmed
  • 6 Large iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 2 Shallots minced
  • 1/8 Cup chopped roasted peanuts (optional)

Preparation

Method

  1. Heat your wok over a high heat until hot. Add oil of your choice and swirl to coat your wok evenly.
  2. Add your mince of choice (pork, beef or turkey), break up and stir. Add Pikt & Chopt Garlic paste and Pikt & Chopt Ginger paste to your wok. Stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until the mince changes colour.
  3. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil. Add the minced shallots and 2 teaspoons of lime juice to the wok. Further stir fry for 2 or 3 minutes until heated through.
  4. Spoon mince mixture into lettuce leaves and sprinkle with beansprouts and/or peanuts for garnish (optional).
  5. Serve on a plate ready to eat and enjoy!
